Coaches and players watch highlights from football games weekly. That's how they improve. One play, however, from Davenport High School's first homecoming game has gone viral, and the lessons it teaches improves everyone's outlook on humanity.

If your child is moving from Remote Learning to On-Campus instruction this week and was loaned a laptop or other device, we ask that these devices be returned as your child comes back to school on Oct. 21.

Students and staff members across the district raised awareness and honored their own cancer heroes during the month of September. In fact, more than $1,600 was raised for cancer research and a fellow student fighting her own cancer battle.

Free flu shots will be available on Friday, Oct. 23 (student holiday) for all Comal ISD students. When you sign up, indicate a preferred clinic location. Clinic times and locations are subject to change.

Student meals will be free for all Comal ISD students through May 27. Eligible meals include standard breakfast and lunch meals.

On Tuesday evening, the Comal ISD Board of Trustees approved a 4-cent decrease in the district's tax rate, lowering it from $1.32 to $1.2757. This marks the lowest tax rate in 30 years.

Comal ISD students who are signed up to take the PSAT in October and November now have resources available to help them prepare for the test.

The Comal ISD Bass Fishing Club made quite a splash at the first tournament of the year, bringing home the School Champions trophy. With four tournaments to go, interested anglers are still welcome to join.

They have always been close, but a bone marrow donation made them even closer. You could say their connection is truly thicker than blood, the same blood, actually, and life-saving at that.
